For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways: 1. The plan sheet title block shows that the dining hall is part of this plan set, however no reference is made on the plans to demolition or improvement. Please clarify/Expand the plans to show the dining hall/remove the description from the plan sheet. 6. Provide a note on the site plan indicating the previous use of the tenant space or building being remodeled. Section 106.3.3. 7. On the first sheet of the plans indicate: a) The floor area of the remodeled area, b) Type of construction of the existing building, c) Present and proposed occupancy classifications of the remodel area, d) The floor where the tenant improvement is located, e) The occupant load of the remodel area(s). f) Whether or not the building is sprinklered 8. Glazing in the following locations should be of safety glazing material in accordance with Section 2406.4 (see exceptions): a) Fixed or operable panels adjacent to a door where the nearest exposed edge of the glazing is within a 24-inch arc of either vertical edge of the door in a closed position and where the bottom exposed edge of the glazing is less than 60 inches above the walking surface. 10. Please show the spacing of the partition wall framing studs on the partition detail. 1-1. Is the tenant space to be heated or cooled? Please show the heat/cooling equipment on the plans if applicable. If not, show how the tenant space meets the natural ventilation requirements of UBC Section 1202.1. Show the area of openings required and the area of the openings provided. 12. Provide notes and/or details to show that the floor and wall finish in toilet rooms are surfaced with a smooth hard non-absorbent material extending five inches up the wall. Similar surfacing shall be provided on the walls from the floor to a height of 4 feet around urinals and within water closet compartments. Section 807. 13. Note on plan that suspended ceilings shall comply with UBC Tables 25-A, 16-O and 16-B. 14. The width of the required level area on the side into which doors swing shall extend 24 inches past the strike edge for exterior doors and 18 inches past the strike edge for interior doors.
