Please specify the use of the room adjacent to garage. If it is anything other than a workshop or storage, additional corrections will apply. 5. It appears there will be no ceiling in the garage. Please clarify this on the plans. If there is to be a ceiling, provide attic ventilation per Section R806.2 and attic access per section R807. 1 . 6. Please provide slab specifications complying with the soil report recommendation d) on sheet 5 of the soil report. 7. If there are any slopes near the garage building, please show them and show distance from foundation to edge of slopes and show slope and heights of cuts and fills. Provide a letter from the soils engineer confirming that the foundation plan, grading plan and specifications for the garage building have been reviewed and that it has been determined that the recommendations in the soils report are properly incorporated into the construction documents (as required by the soil report). 9. The note on the foundation plan and structural calcs specify 18" depth of footings while the details are dimensioned 15". Please coordinate. 10. At detail1/4, show the weep screed to be minimum 2" above the pavement per section R703.6.2.1. 11. The truss lengths are 6" different than the dimensions on the plans. 12. The trusses layout and truss designs show they are designed to accommodate a FAU. Is this a conditioned building? Please clarify on the plans and if it is conditioned, additional corrections will apply and an energy design will be required. 13. Bottom chords of trusses require lateral support at 12" o.c. Please detail this if garage is not to have a ceiling. 14. Please provide evidence that the engineer-of-record (or architect) has reviewed the truss calculation package prepared by others (i.e., a "review" stamp on the truss calculations or a letter).
