The fills were placed duril"G the periods between February 4, 1969 and May 2, 1969. ~~ lhe approximate areas all(l depths of filled ground placed under our inspection in accordance with the approved speciNcatibns are shown on the attached Drawil"G Na. 1, entitled "Location of Compacted Filled GrounJ.11 The gradirG plan used for the placement of filled ground was prepared by McIntire & Quiros, Inc. dated January, 1968. The approximate locc..rons at which the tests were taken and the final test results are presented on page Nos. 4 to 19, inclusive, under the "Table of Test Results." The laboratory determina- tions of the maximum dry densities and optimum moisture contents of the major fill materials are presented on page No. 20, under the "Laboratory Test Results." Some of the maximum dry densities shown In the "Table of Test Results" were combinations of these. I Prolect No. 68-ll-23D La Costa South' Unit No. -3-June 23, 1969 4, Separate garage slabs from perimeter footlrgs by 1/2 inch thickness of construction felt or equivalent, to allow independent movement of garage slabs relative to perimeter footings. 5. Provide positive drainage away from all perimeter footings to a horizontal distance of at least 6 feet outside the house walls. In addition to the filled ground placed and Inspected within La Costa South Unit No. 1, there was an area of fill approximately 180 feet east of the east end of Navarra Drive.
