The Patio Enclosure is partially attached to the walls forming an "Ell" of the House
(See Sheet No. 3) We will design West wall (side wall), as freestanding, to carry t
load to the roof panels not directly attached to the house wall. The lateral loads
perpendicular to the roof panel span, (East-West direction) are resisted by the roof
panels acting as a diaphram and transferring the loads to the house wall.
