Welding continued at the moment frame beam to column connections at line B, 1.6 and 2. Per detail
11 /S805, the vertical beam web to column flange CJP joints were welded at both locations after
tensioning the bolts, but need to have the weld run-off removed. Per the detail, the bottom flange
backing bar was removed at 1.6-B and back welding was performed. Removal of the bottom flange
backing bar has not yet beam performed at 2-B. Work is in progress.
The welds found between the top flange backing bars and the beam flange noted in the report
6/21/18 have not yet been removed and repaired as required by AWS D1 .8 section 6.9.

Work continued at he Building F beam to column moment connection at line B at 1.6 and 2. Per
detail 11 /S805, the bottom backing bar was removed at 2-B and gouged to sound metal. Back
welding was performed after gouging to sound metal. Welding was performed by the welder Jesse
Barnett using FCAWwith E71T-8.
Work was performed to correct the non-compliant items noted at these joints on 6/21/18. The fillet
welds which had been placed between the top backing bar and the beam flange were removed as
required by AWS D1 .8 section 6.9. Work is continuing to correct the deficiencies at these locations.

Work continued at he Building F beam to column moment connection at line B at 1.6 and 2. Repairs
were made to the items noted on 6/21/18 as being out of compliance with the AWS 01 .8. The fillet
welds placed connecting the top flange backer to the beam flange were removed as required by
section 6.9 of the AWS 01 .8. The tacks on the web plate in the "Protected Zone" were ground down
as required by the AWS 01 .8.
UT is required at the beam to column CJP connections at 2-8 and 1.6-8.
