Per the detail, the bottom flange backing bar was removed at 1.6-B and back welding was performed. Removal of the bottom flange backing bar has not yet beam performed at 2-B. Work is in progress. The welds found between the top flange backing bars and the beam flange noted in the report 6/21/18 have not yet been removed and repaired as required by AWS D1 .8 section 6.9.
