PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLATION

2. Phone Service Coordinator at 760-476-5614 fbr the following:
- 3 Working days prior to trenching to arrange pre-meet with inspector and Initiate trenching process.
- After excavation of trench, installation of conduit and service entrance equipment at meter location, CALL FOR INSPECTION. Do
not cover conduit without inspector's written approval to backfill.
- When trench is backfilled and compacted, CALL FOR INSPECTION.
- If service entrance equipment is installed after backfill, CALL FOR INSPECTION OF THE EQUIPMENT.
3. Meter cannot be set until inspector has approved installation, Including service equipment, and receipt of city/county/state inspection

Please call your Service Coordinator at 760-476-5614 with questions about application,
inspection, construction installation and to schedule a crew.
To minimize the electrical outage, you are advised to schedule a moming disconnect with an aftemoon reconnect. There is no charge
fbr this service. Before you change out your meter consider (1) SDG&E needs 10-15 _ working days advance notice to schedule a crew
and
(2) SDG&E will not reconnect the service without municipal approval on the new panel. Please contact the City/County regarding
permits and inspections.
City/County inspection should be received prior to 2:00 p.m. on the same day as the disconnection of service to allow the SDG&E
If SDG&E encounters hazardous or toxic material while performing construction of your project, SDG&E will halt work immediately and it will
be your responsibility to remove and or clean up all hazardous or toxic material prior to SDG&E continuing construction. SDG&E shall have no
liability or obligation whatsoever to cleanup, remove or remediate any hazardous or toxic materials discovered during the course of
construction unless it is through negligence of SDG&E.
Customer-owned facilities to receive gas service are subject to all applicable local and state of California inspection authority requirements.
Building address and/or houseline must be permanently identified prior to meter set. Infbrmation on this sheet is void after six (6) months.

Electrical Panel Upgrade Schedule
We at Smith Electrical Contractors Inc. are committed to providing you the best service and experience
during your main panel upgrade! We would like to inform you that there are required steps that need to be
completed prior to the upgrade date as to make the process as seamless as possible. The following is a
schedule we have set up to complete these steps. If you have any questions or concems, please do not

Our specialist will arrive before the utility company, please be prepared to have your power disconnected
by the utility company as early as 7:00am, and reconnected by 3:30pm, access to your garage or attic is
required on this day. You are required to be present (or arrange for us to have access to your
home).
Repair and Faint Stucco or Wood Siding: tentative;01/22-01/23
If required for your home: if you have any spare paint please let your upgrade specialist know and
have it ready for him the day ofthe upgrade so we can leave it by the panel for our Stucco/Siding
expert, this would be greatly appreciated but is not required. Your presence is required on this day only if
there is interior drywall damage, see (**) below. Depending on inspection requirements, this process may
require more than one day. You will be contacted by our specialist to be notified of exact date.
*Please remove all decorations, pictures, shelves, or valuables from the wall that the panel
is attached to from the interior of your home or garage as to assure they do not get
damaged.
** Drywall damage may occur during the upgrade process, if this happens please notify your upgrade specialist
immediately so that he/she may assess the damage and take a picture. We will have this repaired at the time of your
Stucco/Siding repair. Your upgrade specialist may request to view the wall that the panel is attached to from
the interior of your home prior to starting the work and after completion to evaluate the condition of the walL
*** Be sure that your panel is accessible and that any dogs/pets are in a separate area on all above dates as to
assiu-e their safety.
****These dates are subject to change depending on weather conditions, inspection requirements, and other
scheduling conflicts. We will inform you of any changes in schedule via email and/or courtesy phone call.
