There is no charge for this service. Before you change out your meter consider ( 1) SDG&E needs advance notice to schedule a crew and (2) SDG&E will not reconnect the service without municipal approval on the new panel. City/County inspection should be received prior to 2:00 p.m. on the same day as the disconnection of service to allow the SDG&E crew enough time for reconnection of the service on the same day.
