The bottom of the clear opening shall not exceed 44" above the floor. Do not measure to the window sill. This generally applies to windows that have a height of 3' or less. Show on the plans compliance with the residential energy lighting requirements for any new lighting proposing .(Mandatory requirement): In the kitchen at least one-half of the wattage rating of the fixtures must be high efficacy with non-high efficacy fixtures switched separately.
