the attached letter dated August 11, 1989. You had responded to
that letter and admitted to the construction You then proceeded
to initiate a plan check for the work on August 18, 1989 You were
notified of the pending expiration of that plan check by a letter
dated February 1, 1990, copy enclosed. Due to the expiration of the
plan check and permit application you are hereby notified that you
are in violation of Carlsbad Municipal Code, Section, 8.04.010,
which adopts the Uniform Building Code, Section, 301 (a),
construction without proper approval or permit.
To Comply you must apply for a permit for the construction of the
storage area in the garage by May 15, 1990 or this matter will be
referred to the City Attorney for further legal action
