Per Sec. 105.4 of the 2009 International Building Code, the approval of the plans does not permit the violation of any state, county or city law. To speed up the recheck process, please note on this list (or a copy) where each correction item has been addressed, i.e., plan sheet number, specification section, etc. Be sure to enclose the marked up list when you submit the revised plans. Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is complete. Exit doors shall swing in the direction of exit travel when serving an occupant load of 50 or more persons (doors 101 and 103). Section 1008.1.2. 3. Please review the requirements, revise the plans appropriately and imprint on the plans the City of Carlsbad Policies and Procedures for Roof Mounted Equipment to the plans. 4. On the mechanical plans clearly show the limits of ceiling space used as duct or plenum. Clearly show that all material exposed within the plenum complies with UMC Section 604.2. "Materials shall have a mold-, humidity-, and erosion-resistant face that meets the requirements of UL 181 Combustibles within the plenum space must comply with UMC Section 601.3. Flame-spread index of not more than 25 and a smoke-developed rating of not more than 50. 5. Provide complete energy designs for the proposed changes in the mechanical systems. Provide the completed MECH-1-C forms showing energy compliance. The mechanical equipment in the server room is not considered process cooling unless the temperature is maintained outside the range of 550F through 90°F and the system is designed and controlled to be incapable of operating at above 550F and below 900F. 6. Provide complete energy designs for the proposed changes in the mechanical systems. Provide the completed MECH- forms showing energy compliance.
