Moisture Contenk in Subgrade Soils
Lot 282 of La Costa Meadows Unit No. 2
Corlsbd, California
Dear Mr. Harrison:
This is to report the results of tests to determine the moisture contents of the soils in the
upper three feet below finished grade in the proposed building area at the subject site in
Corlsbad, California.
The soil samples were obtained on November 18, 1982 and the results of the moisture
determinations are presented as follows:

It is concluded from the field observations of the various roil types and the final results of the
moisture determinutions that the soils in the upper 3.0 feet below finished garde ot the
locations sampled have been sufficiently moistened to minimize the potential expansion of
the soils, CIS recommended in our report under Project No. 71-2-240 dated September 1 , 1971.
It is recommended that positive drainage, 6 inches of vertical fall in 6 feet horizontally, should
be provided around the perimeter of the house in landscaped areas. Drainage system should also

necessary to comply with the above requirements.
