upper three feet below finished grade in the proposed building area at the subject site in
Carlsbad, California.
The soil samples were obtained on August 29, 1977 and the results of the moisture deter-

It is concluded from the field observations of the various soil types and the final results
of the moisture determinations of the soi Is in the upper three feet below finished grade at
the locations sampled have been sufficiently moistened to minimize the potential expansion
of the soils as recommended in our report under Project No. 70-1-5D, dated October 19,
1970.
