Please provide calculations for the design of the structural roof support for HP 7 and HP 5 signed by the California State licensed engineer or architect. Note that the doorways leading to sanitary facilities shall be identified, per Section 111513.5, as follows: An equilateral triangle 1,/4' thick with edges 12" long and a vortex pointing upward at men's rest rooms. A circle 1/4I1 thick, 12" in diameter at women's rest rooms. A 12" diameter circle with a triangle superimposed on the circle and within the 12" diameter at unisex rest rooms. The required symbols shall be centered on the door at a height of 60". Braille signage shall also be located on the wall adjacent to the latch outside of the doorways leading to the sanitary facilities, per Section 1117B.5.9. 3. Revise plans to show that at least one water closet fixture, located in a compartment, shall provide the following, per Section 11 115B.7.1.2: a) ~!28" clear space from a fixture (or ~32" clear space from a wall) at one side. b) Clear space in front of the water closet shall be: ~!48" if the compartment has a end opening door. ~!60" is required for side opening doors. c) Grab bars shall not project more than 3" into the clear spaces indicated. Show, or note, on the plans that the accessible water closets meet the following requirements, California Plumbing Code: The seat is to be ~!17" but :~19" in height. The controls for flush valves shall be: I) Mounted on the side of the toilet area. ii) Be :~44" above the floor. 3. Show, or note, on the plans that accessible urinals meet the following requirements, per Section 111 5B.9.4 and California Plumbing Code: a) The rim of at least one urinal shall: Project 14" from the wall. When lavatories are adjacent to a side wall or partition, there shall be a minimum of 18" to the center line of the fixture to the wall. NOTE: Where a tank-type toilet is used which obstructs placement at 33", the grab bar may be installed as high as 36". c) Grab bars at the side shall be located: I) 15" to 161/21' (±1") from the center line of the water closet stool. ii) Be 2:42" long with the front end positioned 24" in front of the stool. iii) Total length of bars at the back shall be ~36". d) The diameter, or width, of the grab bar gripping surface is ~11/4 but 15':1 1/2" or the shape shall provide an equivalent gripping surface. ENT: A. Maintain roof integrity. Prevent hazardous condition to firemen who must fight fire on the roof. Provide an installation that is aesthetically sensitive to the building and the adjoining properties. LICY: 1. All equipment shall be concealed from view and the design* shall meet the approval of the Planning Department.
