Please make all corrections, as requested in the correction list. Submit FOUR new complete sets
of plans for commercial/industrial projects (THREE sets of plans for residential projects). For
expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways:
1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad
Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700. The City will
route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering and Fire
Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320
Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all remaining sets
of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department for routing to
their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by the City
Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is complete.

• PLANS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
1. The rack grounding electrode conductor shall be installed per CEC 250.64.
• Provide an auxiliary electrode per CEC 690.47(D). or
• Connect to the building electrode system. If the electrode conductor is routed through
electrical equipment (disconnects, panels, meter enclosures, etc) then provide a detail on
the plans describing compliance with CEC 250.64(C). (Conductor splices only allowed
with compression connectors or exothermic welding.)
• Note: The rack electrode system is described in the 2010 CEC 690.47(0) and the
upcoming 2016 CEC 690.47(0). It was mistakenly deleted from the 2013 CEC.
• Revise the plans to show the cable size of# 8 minimum on the single line diagram
provided on sheet 2.
2. Revise the plans to include the "U" letter at the inverter description shown in the single
line diagram provided on sheet 2, for the AFCI required. See manufacturer's information.
3. Revise the single line diagram to 125 Amps, or the "Service Order" from SDGE to 225
Amps. To have consistent information. Additional corrections may follow.
