To speed up the recheck process, please note on this list (or a copy) where each correction item has been addressed, i.e., plan sheet number, specification section, etc. Be sure to enclose the marked up list when you submit the revised plans. Carlsbad CBR2017-0852 April 27, 2017 Please make all corrections, as requested in the correction list. Submit FOUR new complete sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (THREE sets of plans for residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways: 1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. 2. Bring TWO corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by the City Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is complete. • PLANS 1. Indicate on the Title Sheet of the plans the name of the legal owner of the plans. Section R106.1.1. 2. All sheets of plans must be signed by the person responsible for their preparation. (California Business and Professions Code). • FIRE PROTECTION 3. Please indicate on the plans whether the existing residence has a fire sprinkler system installed. If so, then provide a note stating that any additions/alterations will be provided with an automatic residential fire sprinkler system. Section R313.2. • ELECTRICAL 4. A balcony, deck, or porch that is accessible from the interior of the dwelling will require a minimum of one receptacle outlet. CEC 210.52(E) (3). This receptacle must be GFCI protected. 5. Recheck the location of the smoke detector shown between the stairway and the bathroom. The smoke alarm must be at least 3 ft away from the opening of the bathroom. • RESIDENTIAL GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS In addition to the notes already shown on the plans, include the following note: 6. Show dimensions of the new balcony. 8. Provide construction details for the balcony. 9. Recheck the sheet notes on sheet A201. Some of the notes do not agree with the ones shown on the plan. 10.
