Storage areas exceeding 1000 sq. ft. in connection with wholesale or retail sales shall be separated from the public area by a one-hour occupancy separation. If the entire buiiding has an automatic sprinkler system, then the occupancy separation need not be provided. An automatic sprinkler system shall be installed in rooms used by the occupants for the consumption of alcohol and in accessory uses where the total area of such unseparated rooms and assembly uses exceeds 5000 square feet.
