The plans now specify a hydromechanical grease interceptor: Please provide manufacturer's cut sheets. The exception in Section 1014.2 of the CPC allows listed grease interceptors to be installed, but only if the flow controls are INTEGRAL with the unit. The footnote in the literature you provided states that the flow control is EXTERNAL to the unit (not integral with the unit), so it cannot be used. B. Where on the plans does it show all the required information for the proposed stair (rise/run, handrail, tread stripes, etc.)? First, the plans must be revised to make it clear that the handrails are to be installed on each side of the stair. Second, the handrail height must be shown on the plans. Third, the plans must specify color- contrasting stripes at each tread. 4. Quite a few other sheets from the approved plans must also be revised, to show the changes indicated on A-1.0. Why weren't the other corresponding sheets revised? Such as S-2, E-1, etc. Revised electrical plans have not been provided yet. The electrical sheets have not been signed vet. When you show the stair (next to the lift) on A-4.0, be sure to show the required handrail extensions. The handrail must extend 23" beyond the bottom riser. Handrails are required on EACH side of the stair, and both handrails must have the 23" extension. 7. It appears that the deck area (next to the ramp) is being increased in size. Please clarify. What about the roof over this area? Will it be increased? Please compare sheet S-2 to A-1.0. You'll see that the deck extends out further now. Please revise the sheets so that they match. The 4x10 girder has no footing shown below its intermediate support. Please revise. The plans now specify a 4x6 girder. It is undersized for the assembly live load. Also, the concrete footing is too small. The previous plans showed an open patio (light wind loads). By installing the windows/walls, the wind loads will increase. Please discuss the need for additional lateral bracing with your engineer and be sure to show the added windows/walls on the structural plans. Please provide a written response from your structural engineer on this issue. Installing recycled water meters is a benefit for the applicant since they are exempt from paying the San Diego County Water Capacity fees. However, if they front a street which the recycled water is there, but is not live (sometimes they are charged with potable water until recycled water is available), then the applicant must pay the San Diego Water Capacity Charge. If within three years, the recycled water line is charged with recycled water by CMWD, then the applicant can apply for a refund to the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) for a refund.
