According to our Building Code, 18.04.030 Section 303(d), you only need to have work started and inspected prior to one year from the date of permit purchase date. Enclosed is a copy of the permit issued to California Builders. This permit was to remodel an existing real estate office. Approval was obtained from our Redevelopment section, and the permit was issued to a licensed contractor in good faith. Apparently a portion of the work was to clear up an old violation. I have researched the procedure and it appears to be proper and legal. Your letter sounds as though you may have some legal problem with your tenant.
