This wall is appears to be a structural shear wall. The opening reduces the length by about 20%, however the location of the opening is not in a critical area. Also, there is a long framed wall alon this same shear line which will resist a substantial amount of force. It is my opinion that this new door opening will not affect the srtuctural integrity of this building. Thank you for the opportunity to be of service.
