• Flammable Gas Generation Per Hour
* Total <13 cf flammable gas generation per hour
* Calculation
• Gas Evolution per Hour Per Cell 0 0008 cf/cell/hr [per OSHA]
• Charging Current 5% of amp hour capacity during overcharge period
• Batteries @ 840 Amp Hours <13 cf
* 18 cells
* 18 x 0 0008 x 840 = <13 cf flammable gas generation per hour
• Room/Area Volume >216,000 cf [10,800 sf room x >20' roof/ceiling]
• Air Changes to Maintain <l=2% Flammable Gas Concentration
* Air Changes Required 1 air change every 18 hours - volume of space and general
area ventilation conditions [see Item 6] where trucks will be located will maintain
flammable gas concentration @ <2%
* Calculation
. • [216,000 cf]x[0 02/13 cf per hour] x 60 minutes = 19,440 minutes
• 1 air change every 19.440 minutes = 1 air change every 13 5 days
