GENERAL AND ARCHITECTURAL PME ITEMS
1. The Plumbing and Mechanical Drawings are not signed by the California
Licensed Engineer stamping the drawings. The final set of corrected drawings to
be reviewed for signing and sealing just before the permits are to be issued.
Each sheet of the plans must be signed by the person responsible for their
preparation, even though there are no structural changes, before the permits are
issued. Business and Professions Code.
2. Please provide construction drawings so plan review can be completed.
Mechanical and Plumbing Drawings have notes stating: "Not for construction"
Please correct.
3. Provide data on the proposed hazardous materials to be stored and used.
Present the description of the hazardous materials in a format that coincides with
the material classifications found in CBC Tables 307.1 (1) and 307.1 (2).
• Clearly show the types of hazardous materials being stored or used. Provide a list of the
proposed hazardous materials; include the material safety data sheets.
• Clearly show amounts for each type of hazardous material to be stored &/or use.
• Clearly show the locations in the building where each type of hazardous material is being
stored or used.
• Note: If hazardous materials are present in any amount, forward this information to the
mechanical designer for design compliance with CMC Chapter 5.
4. Show the required walls around the 205 sq.ft. Breakroom next to the Electrical
Room #127. Note the Breakroom must be heated and the Warehouse and
Electrical Room 205 sq.ft. Breakroom are not heated. Please address how the
205 sq .ft. Breakroom is to be heated. CBC, Section 1204.1 (Interior spaces
intended for human occupancy shall be provided with active or passive space-

separating dwelling units are required to be protected. Please add dampers or
revise locations, where necessary. CBC 420.2 & 420.3. Plans seem to show fire
rated floor/ceiling and fire rated walls. Please clearly show where fire rated
separations are required and the required fire damper and/or fire smoke
dampers are required.

PLUMBING (2016 CALIFORNIA PLUMBING CODE)
12. Provide calculations to show compliance with CPC Table 422.1 "Minimum
Plumbing Facilities" and occupant load CPC Chapter 4 Table "A". Please include
the occupancy classification and the number of occupants. It seems that drinking
fountains are required and none are provided.
13. Notes on the sheet P2 .1 states for the site plumbing (water and sewer): "For
Continuation of Piping See Plumbing Site Plan." But no "Plumbing Site Plan"
provided. Please provide the plumbing site plan for the existing and new water,
sewer, and gas piping systems, so the plumbing can be completed.
14. Show the public water meter location and the public gas meter location on the
"Plumbing Site Plan".
15. Sheet P0.2 shows a 1 DO-gallon, gas fired water heater to be installed. But, no
