WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to acquire a portion of the property used as parking for 2075 Las Palmas Drive from the current owner, Hawthorne Family Trust; and WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that it accepts the agreed purchase price of $8.50 per square foot for 19,400 square feet of real property, for a total purchase price of $164,900; and WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Planning Commission at its meeting of August 2,2000 determined that acquisition of the property is consistent with the Carlsbad General Plan; and WHEREAS, an adjustment plat, easement and related documents have been prepared for APN 213-061-19 and A€" 213-061-20. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California as follows: 1. 2. That the above recitations are true and correct. That the Mayor is authorized to execute all documents associated with the purchase and transfer of interest in 19,400 square feet of property from Hawthorne Family Trust to the City of Carlsbad.
