WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to acquire a portion of the property used as parking for 2075 Las Palmas Drive from the current owner, Hawthorne Family Trust; and WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that it accepts the agreed purchase price of $8.50 per square foot for 19,400 square feet of real property, for a total purchase price of $164,900; and WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Planning Commission at its meeting of August 2,2000 determined that acquisition of the property is consistent with the Carlsbad General Plan; and WHEREAS, an adjustment plat, easement and related documents have been prepared for APN 213-061-19 and A€" 213-061-20.
