For and in consideration of the sun of one dollar ($1.00) to seller in
paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by said seller, the
signed. La Costa Land Company, an Illinois corporation, herein designated as
the SELLER, hereby grants the right and option to purchase and agrees to sell
to the COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO, a political subdivision of the State of California,
or its assigns, herein designated as the PURCHASER, at any ti«e within 10 years
from the "date toreof, fcr the-total-purchase prieejjfon" dollar ($1.00). th«
following described property in the County of San Diego, State of California,
to wit:
All that portion of the Southeast Quarter of Section 36, T.12 S., R.4 M.,
S.B.M., together with that portion of Section 31, T.12 S"'.., R.3 W., S.B.M., in
the County of San Diego, State of California, according to Record of Survey
Map No. 6269 on file in the Office of the Recorder of San Diego County, described
as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of said Section 36; thence along the East
line of said Section 36, N.OO*10'00"W., 190.02 feet to a point in the Northerly
right of way of Levante Street as shown on La Costa South Unit No. 7 Map No. 6612
on file in the Office of the Recorder of San Diego County, said point being the
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence along said Northerly right of way of Levante
Street N.89*17'26"W., 117.54 feet to the Easterly boundary of said Map No. 6612;
thence along the Easterly and Northeasterly boundary of said Map No. 6612
the following courses: N.19*43'17"E., 128.32 feet; thence N.10*44'23"W.,
59.04 feet; thence N.24*36'12"W., 326.66 feet; thence N.10*35'34"W., 391.67

way line S.21*25'3S"E., 835.00 feet; thence S.16*52'SO"E.. 85.62 feet; thence
S.6*40'00"E., 78.47 feet; thence S.6*00'00"W., 270.00 feet; thence
S.00*42'34"W., 335.91 feet; thence S.20*29'29"W., 88.64 feet; thence
S.O*42'-34"W., 115.00 feet; thence N.89*17'26"W., 10.46 feet to the true point
of beginning. Containing 13.346 acres*.
If said PURCHASER elects to purchase said property at the price and within the
tine specified, the said PURCHASER shall give said SELLER due notice, in writing,
whereupon thirty (30) days after the exercising of this option, said PURCHASER
shall be allowed to examine title to said property and report any valid objection
thereto, if any, to said SELLER. "Tf"no such objection to title is»*«pezted,
said SELLER shall deliver a properly executed and acknowledged grant deed to
said property. If such objection to title is reported, then SELLER shall u»e
due diligence to remove same within ninety (90) days thereafter. If it is so
removed, said SELLER shall then deliver the properly executed grant deed as
previously aentioned.

If such objection to title cannot be removed within the time allowed, all
rights and obligations hereunder, at the election of the PURCHASER, shall
terminate and end and all payments made hereunder shall be returned to the
PURCHASER unless said PURCHASER elects to buy the said property subject to
such defect in title.
if said PURCHASER does not give SELLER written notice of intention to couplet*
the purchase of said property on or before the date or" expiratiofr of this
option, then SELLER shall be released from all obligation hereunder and all
rights hereunder, legal and equitable, of said PURCHASER shall cease.
All notices required hereunder to be given said SELLER shall comply herewith
if posted U. S. Regii : addressed to said SELLER at Costa Delmar
Road, Carlsbad, California 92088.
