The Carlsbad Building Authority, a public entity formed pursuant to a joint exercise of powers
agreement between the City of Carlsbad and the County of San Diego, dated October 1, 1967, and
recorded on January 9, 1968 at page No. 4660 in the Official Records of the Recorder of San Diego
County, hereby does remise, release and quitclaim all right, title and interest in the property

The, .Joint Powers Agreement mentioned is filed in a binder labeled "Carlsbad Building Authority Transcript".

Please see the Joint Powers Agreement with San Diego County which
created & set forth procedures for the Carlsbad Building Authority. (Recorded on January 9, 1968 as file 4660, Series 9 Book 1968 at
the County Recorder's Office.)
Section 6 of this agreement instructs the Building Authority to use the quitclaim format to release all interests to the City.
Other Sections of the agreement indicate that City Hall buildings as well as the land they sit on are Building Authority interests. Because of this we have entered the deed in our computer file as both Property and Miscellaneous (City Hall).
