RZSOLUTIOM # 17
WEEREAS, Tm Bruce Saith has been serving the. City of
CarlsSad as City attorney for the past two months, under En agree-
ment providing for a.sa12ry of $3OOmOO per month, plus ten ceilts
(8.10) pzr mite fora use of MS car, and $~O,OO per bay for Cou~t
appearances, which agreemm-t expires on Septeizber 6, 1952, and
Yif-%13XkS, the City of Carlsbad has continuing need o.?
a City Attorney to fixpnish legal advice on mztters of administra-
tion and defend the City in pendlng litigation; now
TXEREFO%, BE IT RESOLIED that %:he City Council of
the City of Carlsbad extend the agreement with T, BrUce Smith as
City 4-ttorney for one month, until October 69 1952, on the same
term and conditions as the original agreemente
