WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944 (4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-
half the cost of acquiring rights-of-way or sites for public works pro3ects determined to be desirable in postwar public works programs of such Local Agencies, and
Agencyn, desires to submit its request for State aid in the acquisition of a right-of-way or site under said Act, on Fire ad Polfoe Station site, being a portion of Tract ll7 of Carlsbad knds on Pi0 Pic0 Drive lietween Elm Avenue and Laguna Drive; and
WHEWS, a request to the State Allocation Board for such aid has been prepared and- presented to this Lsgislative Body for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, herefizafter desiefnated as 'Loa1
WHEREAS, Local Agency has made provisions for paying one-half or more of the cost of such acquisition;
8OW9 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the afore-
said request for acquisition ai6 to the State Allocation Board for the State's share of the cost of such acquisition; and
BE IT FURTHER RBSOLVED, that Local Agency hereby certifies that the total estimated cost to be paid for the acquisition of the right-of-way or site for which It is requesting aid under said Act is Three Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Xine and 40/100ths Dollars ($3539.40); and
to pay the State's share of the total cost to be paLd for the acquisition for which Looal Agency is requesting aid;
BE IT FURTHXK REXJLVED, that Local Agency hereby requests the State
BE IT FUETHER RBSOLVED that for the purpose of this request Charles
A, Anthony (C. A, Anthony), Director of Public Works, P. 0, Box #265, Caplsbad, California, be and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local agency and is hereby authorized and directed to si@ the herein-mentioned request on behalf of Local Agency and to submit the sane to the State Allocation Board, together with a certified statement of the total cost to be paid for the adquisition of the herea-mentioned right- of-way or site and such other 3aformation as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local Agency to conduct a11 negotiations and concluoe all arrangements, including stzbmission to the Director of FWmce of applications for pay- ment, which my be necessary to secure payment of the State's share of the cost of the acquisition of the aforementioned right-of-way or site. If, for any reason, the person herein named as the authorized agent leaves the office, the authority as authorized agent shall then vest with the person holding that office,
