RESOLUTION NO. 150
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, STATING THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL
BOND ELECTION HELD JANUARY 11, 1955.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, by Ordinance No. 5016, duly called and provided
for the holding of a special election in the CITY OF CARLSBA
SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 on January 11, 1955, for the purpose
submitting to the qualified voters of said sewer district
the proposition set forth in said ordinance and he
stated; and
WHEREAS, notice of said el ion was duly and
regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by

polling places designated in said ordinance, and the votes
cast thereat were canvassed and the returns thereof made at
the time and in the manner and form provided by law; and

WHEREAS, on this 18th day of January, 1955, said
City Council has duly assembled at its usual place of me
ing and has canvassed the returns of said eleetion;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND
ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the special election for
pose of submitting to the voters of the CITY OF CARLS
SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 the bond proposition hereinafter set
forth was duly held on January 11, 1955, and the vote
thereat were duly and regularly canvassea and the returns
thereof made at the time and in the form and manner required
by law.
Section 2. That the bond proposition voted upon
at said election is as follows, to wit:
Shall the "CITY OF CARLSBAD SEWER DISTRICT NO. I" incur a bonded indebtedness in the sum of $60,000 in accordance with the "Municipal Sewer District Act of 193g1', and ordinances of the City of Carlsbad, for the purpose of paying the cost and expenses of a portion of a proposed district improvement, to wit: the acquisition and construction of a sewage treat- ment and disposal plant, including the acquisi- tion of all land, buildings, pipe, pumps, equipment, apparatus and other property necessary therefor?
Section 3. That the absent voter ballots have
been duly canvassed and counted as required by law, and
the result of such count is hereinafter stated. That this
City Council has duly canvassed the returns of said elec-
tion and from said returns it appears, and this City Council
finds, that the total number of votes cast in each of the
respective election precincts established for said election
upon said proposition, and the number of votes therein for
and against said proposition, the total number of absentee
votes cast at said election upon said proposition and for
and against said proposition, and the total number of votes
cast in said CITY OF CARLSBAD SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 upon said
proposition and for and against said proposition, are as

That the votes of less than two-thirds of all of
the voters voting upon said proposition were cast in favor
of the adoptio of said pro sition, and aid bond proposi-
clared to h e failed to arry at said

I CERTIFY that the foregoing statement of result
is a full, true and correct statement of the facts of said
canvass and of the results of said election, and that as
soon as the result was declared the aforesaid statement was
duly entered by me, the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad,
on the records of said City Council.

California, DO HEREBY CER
Council of the City of Carlsbgd, at apregular meeting duly
held on the 18th day of January, 1955, has duly and regularly
canvassed the returns of the special bond election held in
CITY OF CARLSBAD SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 on January 11, 1955,
pursuant to Ordinance No. 5016, and has declared the result
of said election.
That the bond proposition voted upon at said elec-
tion is as follows:
