RESOLUTION 'NO. 210
ESULUTIUN APPROVING SALARY PLAN, ESTAB-- LIsHhEN.1 OF PUSITIONS, ASSIGNMENT OF STANDAFUI RATES TO S'TABiiSED POSITIONS, AND ESTABLISHAENT OF HOURLY WURK WEEK.
WHEREAS, the City Manager as a part of the 1956-57 budget
has outlined a salary plan in accordance with this resolution; and
WI-I€R€AS, the City Council is desirous of fixing salary
schedules, together with step increases for the benefit of €he
City Employees of the City of Carlsbad; and
EREAS, the City of Carlsbad will derive substantial benefit
by providing an incentive for it's employees,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
does resolve as follows:
1, The positions listed in Exhibit *rAgl, attached hereto
and made a part hereof, are herewith established by the City of
Carlsbad,
2, The salary plan contained in Exhibit is herewith
adopted by the City of Carlsbad,
3, The standard rates assigned to establish positions as
contained in Exhibit "At1 are herewith adopted,
4, The established positions are herewith required to work
the required hours, and shall be entitled to the number of
vacations established in Exhibit ('Atf,
5, The City Manager is empowered, authorized and instructed
to place the present employees in the appropriate step of the
established standard rate in accordance with lenth of service
and meritorious service,
6, The City Manager is further empowered, authorized and
instructed to grant step increases hereafter in accordance with
lenght of service and upon meritorious service,
7, The City Manager is herewith authorized to grant double

step increases, or step increases for less than a normal time
of service upon the employee's performance of exceptional work
or for unusual employment conditions.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 25th day of June, 1956,
