A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD DETER
TWE GENBmL PREYAILlpaet UTE 0 DIEM WAGES.
(Assessment District No. 1-1960)
WHEEW, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad did upon the 5th day
of July, 1960, adopt plans and specifications for the construction of certain
street improvements in Chestnut Avenue from its intersection with Pi0 Pic0
Drive to the intersection with Monroe Street; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing
rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be performed,
and this City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal
holiday and overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of workman
needed to execute said contract;
NOW, TZBREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California
DOES ELECREBY RESOLVE, DETERMXNE AND ORDm as follows:
SECTION 1, That the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the
locality in which said work is to be performed for each craft or type of workman
needed to execute the contract for said work is determined to be as follows,
to wit:

OVERTIME: Not less than one and one-half times the abofe prevailing rates
of per diem wages shall be paid for overtime work performed on Sundays and
legal holidays, as defined in Section 6700 of the California Government Code, for work performed in excess of eight hours in any one calendar day where overtime is permitted by law.
In accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and in accordance with the regulations of the California Apprenticeship Council, properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work.

SECTION 2. Said general prevailing rates shall be specified in the call
for bids for said contract and in the contract itself.
PASSED, APP WED AND ADOPTED on the 5th day of July, 1960,
by the City Comcil of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting of the Council
held on said date, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Guevara, Bierce, Sonneman and McPherson.
