A RESOLUTION OF THE: CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIF'ORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE STREET ZILIPROVE-
NUENTS AND APPURTENANCES AND APPURTENANT
WORK IN SAID CITY; STAT#NG THE AMOUNT OF
THE ESTIMATED DECREASE IN THE COST OF
THE WORK BY REASON OF SAID PROPOSED
CHANGES AND GIVING NOTICE OF A TWE AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERQ FOR mARING
PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS TO SAD CWGES IN SAID WORK, AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF.
(Assessment District No. 1- 1960)
The City Council of the City of Garlsbad, California, DOES HEREBY \
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require and that
it is the intention of the City Council of said City of Carlsbad to order the
following changee of work to be done in the street improvement in Chestnut
Avenue known as Assessment District No. 1-1960, to wit:
(1) Delete the type "GIt curb and gutter on the south side
of the Chestnut Street improvement from Station 35 t 68.90 to
Station 38 f 36.9 3.
(2) Delete the 4" P. C, C. sidewalk on the south side of
the said improvement from Station 35f 68.90 to Station 38f36.93.
(3) Delete the 4" V. C. P. laterals at Stations 36f01.87,
36t68.97, 37y38.07 and 384-03.17.
(4) Delete the excavation in the area from the lip of proposed
southerly curb and gutter to the southerly property line from Station
35t68.90 to Station 3q36.93.
Section 2. That the estimated amount of the decrease in the cost of
the work by reason of said proposed changes is the sum of $It 26 3.43.
Section 3. That notice is hereby given that the 15th day of November,
1960 at the hour of 7: 30 P. M. is the day and hour when, and the Council Chambe
of the City Council in the City Hall in said city is the place where, any and all
persons having any protest or objection to said proposed changes in the work
may appear before the City Council and show cause why said proposed changes

should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution. Protests or
objections must be in writing and must be delivered to the said City Clerk not
later than the hour herein set for hearing protests or objections,

Section 4. THE CARLSBAD JOURNAL, a newspaper of general
circulation published and circulated in the said City of Carlsbad and in the
County of San Diego, California, is hereby selected as the newspaper in which
this resolution of intention shall be made, The said City Clerk is hereby
directed to certify to the adoption af this resolution and to cause said resolution
to be published in the manner provided by law.
Section 5. The said City Clerk is hereby directed to mail notices of
the adoption of this resolution as provided in said Xnzprovement Act of 1911,
postage prepaid, to all persons owning real property which is proposed to be
assessed to pay any part of the cost of said work, whose names and addresses
appear on the last equalized assessment roll or as known to the said City Clerk,
including the mailing of such notices to every owner of property assessed by
the State under Section 14 of Article XIII of the constitution at, the address
thereof shown on the last board roll transmitted to the County Auditor.
PASSED,, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 1st day of November, 1960, by
the following vote, to wit:
