RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO?JNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING CWGE OF' ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTADN. DESfGNATED PROPERTY JY' THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-1 TO ZONE R-3.
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of January, 1961, the Carlsbad City Plannlng
Commission adopted Resolution No. 193, wMch is herewith referred to and
made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on February 7, 1961, a duly advertised public hearing was
held as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-1 to
Zone R-3 of property described as:
That portion of Tract 236 of Thum Lands in the City of Carlsbad,
County of San Diego, State of California, according to map thereof NO,, 1681, filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, December 9, 1915, described as follows:
Beginning a$ a point on the center line of Tamarack Avenue distant
thereon 6lG 20' 45" West 208 feet from the intersection of the center line of Adams Street as $keets are shown on Map No. 1681; thence North 28" 39% West 270 feet; thence South 61* 20' 45'' West 75 feet; thence South 28e 3Qa East 270 feet to said center line of Tamarack Avenue; thence North 61" 20r 45" East dong said center
line 75 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
and
Beginning at a point in the center line of Tamarack Avenue, which
is distant thereon South 61" 20r 45" West 283,OO feet fram the center
line of Adams Street, as said streets are shown on Map thereof No.
1681, said point of beginning being the most Southerly corner of
that parcel of land described in deed to John T. MeU and wife, recorded March 13, 1853 as Document No. 3426 in Book 4782, page
442 of Official Records; thence dong the boundary of said land North 284 39? West 270.00 feet; thence South 61" 201 45" West
233.86 feet; thence South 28O 39% East 270 feet to a point in said center
Unej thence North 61- 20r 45'' East 233.86 feet to the Point of
Beginning. EXCEPTING the Southwesterly 75 feet thereof.
and
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard
all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classifica-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planir

Commission contained in Resolution No. 193 constitute the findings of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certified that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby decXare
its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone
classuication.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney
is hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
effectuate the change of zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 7th day of February, 1961, by the fallowing vote, to wit:

Councilmen Guevara and La Roche.
