A RESOLZrrfON OF THE CITY COUNC& OF THE CITY OF CA.RLSBAD,- MAL(I[NG FIMDmGS THAT ORDLNANCE N BE AMENDED TO ALLOW A SPEC&!lL USE PERNIIT ON PROPERTY LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS A PORTION OF TRACT
252 AND 253, THUMLANDS.
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of April, 1961, the Carlshad City Planning
Commission adapted Resolution No. 206, which is herewith referred to and
made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on May 16, 1961, a duly advertised public hearlag was held
as prescribed by law to consider allowing a conditional use permit for the
Woman's Club of Carlsbadb clubhouse on the property described as fallows,
to wit:
The Southwesterly 396 feet of the followltng described lands:
That portion of Tract 252 and 253 of Thum Lands, lzl the County of San Diego, State of California, according to map thereof, No, 1681, filed in the office of the County Recorder o€ San Diego County, December 9, 1915, described as follows:
Avenue and Monroe Street; thence along the center line of Monroe Street, South 28" 39r East 67.73 feet to the most Southerly comer of the land conveyed by South Coast Land Company to Minnie Zimmerman by deed recorded January 30, 1939, in Book 868, Page 188
of Official Records in said Recorder's Office, and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNINGj thence along said center line of Monroe Street, South east 243,17 feet to the most Westerly corner of the land conveyed by South Coast Land Company to. Mrs, Ella Genevieve Yeend by deed recorded October 18, 1930 in Book 1814, Page 444 of Deeds, in said Recorderb Office1 thence along the Northwesterly line of said Yeend land 880.17 feet to the most northerly corner thereof] thence along the Northeasterly lines of said Tracts 252 and 253 north 23" 33r west 244.14 feet to the most easterly corner of the land conveyed to Mbnie Wmmerman by said deed above referred to; thence along the southeasterly line of said Zimmerman land, south
615 21r west 902,92 feet more or less, to the TRUE POINT OF
BEGfINNING.
Beginning at the intersection of the center be of Basswood
EXCEPTfNG THEREFROM the southeasterly 133,17 feet (measured at right angles) of the above described property;

WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard all
persons interested in or opposed to the proposed amendment to Ordbance No.
9060; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommetnded that certain
conditions be attached to the granting of this special use permit; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council, of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FI”G$ AND RESOLVE that the findings of the
Planning Commission contained in Resolution No. 206 constitute the findings
of the City Council, of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED .that the City Council
certifies that the public necessity and convenience require that such special
use permit be granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare
its intention to adopt an orcUnance to effectuate the granting of tke special use
permit.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney
is hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance to amend Ordinance Na,. 9060
to effectuate the granting of such special use permit.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council. held on the 16th day of May, 1961, by the following vote, to wit:
