RESOLUTION NO. 751
A RESOLUTXON OF THE CITY COuMCfslCOF THE Cay OF CARLSBAD DETERMINING THE
GENERAL PREVAXLING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES,
(Assessment District No. 1-1961)
WHEREAS, the City CbuncU of the City of Carlsbad did upon the 6th day
of June, 1961, adopt plans and specifications for the construction of sanitary '
sewers and appurtenances, and appurtenant work in Eureka Place between
Chestnut Avenue and Basswood Avenue: and
WHEREAS, this City Council has ascertained the general prevam
rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said work is to be performed
and tNs City Council has ascertained the general prevailing rate for legal
holiday and overtime work in said locality for each craft or type of workman
needed to execute said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Cougcil of the City of Carlsbad, California
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1, That the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the
locality in which said work is to be performed for each craft or type of
workman needed to execute the contract for said work is determined to be as
follows, to wit:

OVERTIME: Not less than one and one-half times the above prevailing rates
of per diem wages shall be paid for overtime work performed on Sundays and legal holidays, as defined in Section 6700 of the California Government Code,
for work performed in excess of eight hours in any one calendar day where overtime is permitted by law.
In accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and in accordance with ihe regulations of the California Apprentices hip Council* properly indentured apprentices may be employed in the prosecution of the work.
Sectdm 2. Said general prevailing rates shall be specified in the call
for bids for said contract and in the contract itself.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 6th day of June, 1961,
by the City Courzcltl of the City of Ckrlsbad at a regular meeting held on said
date, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Guevara, Bierce, La Roche and Sonneman.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman McPherson.
