RESOLUTION NO. 839
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS
AND DECISION REGARDING CmNGE OF ZONE
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FROM
ZONE R-P TO ZONE C-2.
WHEREAS, on the 10th day of Jdy, 1962, the Carlsbad City Planning i Commission adopted Resolution No. 254, which is herewith referred to and
made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, ox1 August 7, 1962, a duly advertised public hearing was held
as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-P [Residenti
Professional) to C-2 (General Commercial) of property described as:
Lots 17 and 18, Block 30, and the Northwesterly 12 112 feet of Lot 14, and all of Lots 15 and 16, Block 42, Carlsbad Townsite, Map No. 775 in the City of Carlsbad;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard all
persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDIHGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
Commission contained in Resolution No. 264 constitute the findings of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AHD RESOLVED that the City Council,
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLWD that the City Council does hereby declare
its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone
classification.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AMD ORDERED that the City Attorney is
hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
effectuate the change of zone classification.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 7th day of August, 1962, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Guevara, Bierce, McPherson, Neiswender and Hughes,
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
