RESOLUTION NO. 868
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARD1 NG CHANGE OF ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-A TO ZONE NI.
WHEREAS, on the 11th day of December, 1962, the Carlsbad City
Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 275, which is herewith referred
to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on January 2, 1963, a duly advertised public hearing was held
as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-A (Residentia
Agricultural) to Zone M {Industrial) of property described as:
Approximately 105 acres of land on that property known as "East Carlsbad Annexation No. 2.2", being portion of Lot B, Rancho Agua Hedionda in the City of Carlsbad, being Parcels 6, 7, 9 and portion of 8 of Book 209, Page 020 as shown on the County Assessorts Map
I of San Diego County; more particularly described as:
Beginning at the point of intersection of line described as No. 43
and line 42 of said Annexation, thence N. 75" 44'' E. 234. 25f thence
S. 89" 37' E. 173. 35' thence S. 66'01' E. 121. 5.0 thence in a westerly
direction to the intersection of line No. 30 and No. 31 thence along line 30, 29, 28 and 27, thence along line 26 to a point of intersection
of an east-west line from the point of beginning on line 26, thence along said prolongation to the point of beginning;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard
all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classifica-
tion.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Plannini
Commission contained in Resolution No. 275 constitute the findings of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare
its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone
classification.

BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney is
hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
effectuate the change of zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 2nd day of January, 1963, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilman Guevara, Bierce, McPherson, Neiswender and Hughes
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
