A RESOL'#TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE ALL NECES- SARY APPLICATIONS TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO OBTASN A FEDERAL GRANT UNDER PUBLIC LAW 660 AS AMENDED, RELATIVE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWAGE TREATMENT WORKS,
WHEREAS, under the terms of said Public Law 660, as amended, the
United States of America has authorized the making of grants to public agencies
to aid in financing the construction of sewage treatment works;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute
and file an application on behalf of the City of Carlsbad with the regional Water
Pollution Control Board for a Federal grant to aid in financing the construction
of sewage treatment works.
2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to furnish such information as the Water Pollution Control Board may reasonably
request in connection with the application which is herein authorized to be filed.
That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad agrees that if a Federal 3.
grant for the project is made pursuant to the Federal Water Pollution Control Acf
as amended (33 U. S. C. 466 et seq. } The City of Carlsbad will pay the remaining
cost of the approved project, and the City of Carlsbad will provide proper and
efficient operation and maintenance of the approved project after completion of
construction thereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 19th day of March, 1963, by the following vote, to wit:
