HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-04-02; City Council; Resolution 890z 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 .2 3 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 890 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD LN SUPPORT OF ASSEMBLY BILL NO, 344, CONCERNING LOCAL STREET AND ROAD USER TAX PROGRBM, WHEREAS, Assembly Bill No. 344, which provides €or an increase in the gasoline tax to be assessed in this State, if passed would produce additional funds to be used for the general benefit of the public for necessary construction and repairs of local streets; and WHEREAS, the additional taxation on gasoline sales would not be excessively burdensome or unreasonable to the gasoline buying public; NOW, THEREFORE* BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Carlsbad go on record as favoring the passage of Assembly Bill No. 344 at the next session of the Legislature. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 2nd day of April, 1963, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Guevara, Bierce, McPherson Neiswender.
