RESOLUTION NO. 917
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING CHANGE
OF ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-2 TO ZONE R-3.
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of May, 1963, the Carlsbad City Planning
Commission adopted Resolution No. 302, which is herewith referred to and made
a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 1963, a duly advertised public hearing was held
as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R-2 (Two-Famil;
Residential zone) to Zone R- S(Multiple-Family Residential Zone) of property
described as:
Lots 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of Block I, Palisades, Map 1747 and Por. of Blk. W., Palisades No. 2, Map 1803, in the City of Carlsbad; being Assessor's Parcels 13, 14 and 15,
Book 206, Page 013 and Parcels 3 and 4, Book 206, Page 070 of the Assessorrs Map of San Diego County;
and
WEEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard
all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classification
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
Commission contained in Resolution No. 302 constitute the findings of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare
its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone
classification.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney is
hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
effectuate the change of zone classification.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 18th day of June, 1963, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen McPherson, Bierce, Guevara, Neiswender and Hughe
