RESOLUTION NO. 1045
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING
FINDDIGS AND DECISION REGARDING CHANGE OF ZONE CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FROM ZONE R-3 TO ZONE C-2.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of June, 1964, the Carlsbad City Planning
ommission adopted Resolution No. 361, which is herewith referred to and
lade a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on July 7, 1964, a duly advertised public hearing was held
s prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from Zone R- 3(Multiple-
smily Residential) to Zone C -2(Genera.l Commercial) of property described

All that portion of Block 5 in Cadsbad, City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according to the amended map thereof #775 filed in the office of the County Recorder February 15, 1894,
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the Southwesterly line
of Block 5 which is 100 feet Northwesterly from the most Southerly corner of said Block 5 running thence Northwesterly along said Southwesterly line a distance of 100 feet to a point; thence North- easterly at right angles to said Southwesterly line of Block 5 for a
distance of 215 feet more or less to the Northwest corner of the
portion of said Block 5, conveyed by C. B. Brennenman to Helen R.
Knowles by deed dated February 17, 1899, and recorded in Book 276 Page 200, thence Southeasterly along the Southwesterly line of
said land conveyed to Knowles for a distance of 200 feet to the Southeasterly line of Block 5; thence Southwesterly along said South- easterly line of said Block 100 feet to a point; thence Northwesterly at right angles to the Southeasterly 100 feet; thence Southwesterly
115 feet to the point of beginning;
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and heard all
Iersons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of zone classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
EEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
=ommission contained in Resolution No. 361 constitute the findings of the City
?ouncil of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IF FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
ertifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classification is
iecessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060 as amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby declare
ts intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of zone

classification.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND ORDERED that the City Attorney is
hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9060 to
effectuate the change of zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 7th day of July, 1964, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Neiswender, Jardine and Hughes.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Atkinson
