RESOLUTION NO. 1211
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, 'CALLING AND GIVING ' NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL, 1966, ,FOR'THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED
BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAMS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA RELATIFIG TO GENERAL LAW CITIES
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General
-aw Cities in the State of California, a regular general municipal
election shall be held on the 12th day of April, 1966 for the
election of a Mayor of said City for the full term of four years,
one member of the City Council of said City for the full term of
four years, a City Clerk of said City for the full term of four
years, and a City Treasurer of said City for the full term of four
years;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIF-
ORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMIIYE AND ORDER AS FOLLOMS:
SECTIQN 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of
the State of California relating to General Law Cities within said
State, there shall be, and there is hereby called and ordered, held
in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California,
on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1966, a regular general municipa'
election of the qualified electors of said C-ity for the purpose of
electing a Mayor of said City for the full term of
member of the City Council of said City for the fu
years; a City Clerk of said City for the full term

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of said City is hereby autho-

ment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly

SECTION 4. That for the purpose of holding said regular
general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby establishei
ten (10) voting precincts consisting of consolidations of the
regular election precincts in the City of Carlsbad established for
the holding of state and county elections, as said regular election
precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That I 1

SECTION 5. That the compensation of the persons hereinbefore
named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Eighteen
Dollars for each Inspector and Fifteen Dollars for each Judge and
Clerk for said election.

SECTION 6. That the polls for said election shall be open at
seven o'clock A.M. of the day of said election and shall remain
open continuously from said time until seven o'clock P.M. of the
same day when said polls shall be closed, except as provided in
Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of California.
SECTION 7. That in all particulars not recited in this Resol-
ution, said election shall be held and conducted as provided by
law for holding municipal elections in said City. 1 I SECTION 8. That notice of the time and place of holding said
election is hereby given and the City Clerk is hereby authorized,
instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice
of said election in time, form and manner as required by law.

I SECTION 9. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage I
1 and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book
of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings 1
of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at I i which the same is passed and adopted. i
SECTION 10. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 1966.
