HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-02-15; City Council; Resolution 122132 I RESOLUTION NO. 1221 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER CERTAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND APPURTENANCES AND APPURTENANT WORK IN SAID CITY; DECLARING THE WORK TO BE OF MORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT: DESCRIBING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED BY SAID MORK AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COST AND EXPENSE THEREOF: DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED; AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS AND OBJECTIONS TO SAID NORK OR THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED, OR BOTH, AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF. (Proposed Assessment District No. 5-1964) 1 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, DOES HE WEB^ RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as foi lows: i Section 1. The estimated cost of said work or improvement, inclusive of incidental expenses, is the sum of $163,696,00. Section 2. That all the aforesaid work or improvement shall be constructed at the gradesg along the lines, between the points., of the dimensionsoat the places and in the manner shown on the plans (which include profiles and detailed drawings) for said work, des- ignated "Construction Plans for the Improvement of Madison Street, et al"', Project 4-44, Drawing No. 145-8, consisting of twenty sheets and in accordance with said plans and with the specifications for said works which are designated "Contract Documents and Specificatio !doq 5-1964", Said plans and specifications were heretofore approved by this City Council, and are on file in the office of the City Cler of said City in the City Hall in said city, and reference is hereby made to said plans and specifications for the full and detailed description of said proposed work and for a description of the grade at which said work is to be done. Section 3. That in the opinion of this City Council the said contemplated work is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and this City Council hereby makes the expense of said work charge- able upon a district, which district this City Council hereby declar to be the district benefited by said work and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof. For a description of said district reference is hereby made to a plat or map of said district hereto- fore approved by this City Council, on file in said office of the City Clerk and designated "Assessment District No. 5-1964 Plat", which map or plat indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory included in the said proposed district and shall govern for all details as to the extent of said assessment district. Section 4. The said City Clerk is hereby directed to mail notices of the adoption of this resolution as provided in said Im- provement Act of 1911, postage prepaid, to all persons owning real property which is proposed to be assessed to pay any part of the cost of said work, whose names and addresses appear on the last Section 9.
