RESOLUTION NO. 1250
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND
CATION OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN DECISION REGARDING CHANGE OF ZONE CLASSIFI-
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FROPI ZONE R-A-10 TO ZONE C-2.
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of February, 1966, the Carlsbad Cit-
Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 427, which is herewith
referred to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on March 15, 1966, a duly advertised public hearing
was held as prescribed by law to consider the reclassification from
Zone R-A-lO(Residentia1 Agricultural) to Zone C-Z(Commercia1) of
property described as:
Portions of Section 32, Township 11 South, Range 4 West San Bernardino Meridian, and Lots 40, 41 42 and Portions of Lots 39 and 13 through 17 inclusive, and of Eucalyptus Forest Company's Tract, Map 1136, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California; being Assessor's Parcels 3, 16 and 17 of Book 167, Page 010; Parcels 8, 9, 10, and 11 of Book 154, Page 160; Parcels 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 of Book 156, Page 090 of the Assessor's Map of San Diego County according to the Assessment roll of the fiscal year 1965-66 of San Diego County; more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
WHEREAS the City Counci 1 received a1 1 recommendations and
heard all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed change of
zone classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE, FIND AND RESOLYE:
1. The location of the property at the intersection of two
major thoroughfares makes it ideally suited for a regional shop ping^
center such as has been proposed and is permitted under a C-2 zone.
2. Permitted uses in C-2 zone are provided for at this site
in the proposed General Plan.
3, This rezoning appears to be in the best general interests
of the City of Carlsbad.
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone from

iereby instructed to prepare an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 906(
