A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, APPROVING THE
DIVISION. TENTATIVE MAP OF LAGUNA RIVIERA SUB-
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad on
the 24th day of May, 1966, recommended to the City Council that
the tentative map of Laguna Riviera Subdivision be approved; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 8th
day of June, 1966, considered the recommendation of the Planning
Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, that the City Council does hereby approve said tentative
map of LAGUNA RIVIERA SUBDIVISION, subject to the following require-
ments and conditions being performed by the Subdivider:
1. All domestic water supplied to this subdivision shall be
supplied by the Carlsbad City Water Dep
2. All buildings constructed in this subdivision sh
sewered by the Carlsbad Public Sewer System.
3. Sewer and water lines shall not be laid in the same trench
in any part of this subdivision.
4. Proper drainage shall be maintained throughout the subdivi-
sion so as to prevent ponding and/or storage of surface water.
5. One (1) Standard six-inch (6") fire hydrant shall be at
the following locations:

10. Location, grade and details of proposed improvements as
indicated upon the tentative will be subject to revision as re-
quired for improvement plansg and approval of the map will not imp1

11. The subdivision shall be developed in the indicated units
and sequence of units, unless otherwise approved. Lot #300 shall b
included in either Unit No. 1 or Unit No. 2, and shall be fully
developed as part of such unit, including Park Drive half-width.
12. All improvements shall comply with the standard plans and
specifications of the City of Carlsbad.
13. Street paving on local and minor streets shall consist of
two (2) inches of asphaltic concrete with stone chip seal coat laid
upon four [4) inches of decomposed granite bas material, all on
approved subgrade.
Street paving on Hillside Drive and Park Drive shall con-
sist of two and one-half ( 2 1/2) inches of asphaltic concrete with
stone chip seal coat laid upon six (6) inches of decomposed granite
base, all on approved subgrade.
Street paving on Kelly Drive shall be designed based on
subgrade tests made after the right-of-way is graded, but shall not
located as required for drainage.

17. Drainage improvements shall include standard inlets and
conduit to satisfactory discharge points,. Adequate drainage faci-
lities shall be constructed in and adjoining Unit No. 1 and else-
where as required by the City.
18. Sanitary sewers, including required manholes and appurten-
ance

be constructed as required by the City.
9. Mater mains, including 1" diameter services to each lot,
be constructed as required by the City. The developer shall
replace existing water mains as required and shall pay costs inci-
dental to providing water service to the property.
It is to be noted that the existing water main must be
replaced and easements exchanged before certain lots are usable.
20. Survey monuments and street trees shall be installed as
required by City standards.
21. Alignment, location and grades of all improvements shall
be subject to approval of the City Engineer. Complete plans and
specifications must be submitted to and approved by the City before
construction of any improvement is commenced.
22. The proposed School and Park site (Lot 300) shall be
graded to a usable grade as part of the subdivision improvement.
Four (4) acres of Lot 300 shall be dedicated to the City for a park
Said Park may constitute a part of any land required by City
Ordinance to be dedicated for recreational and park facilities as a
condition of approval of final subdivision map. If said park does
not meet all the requirements of City ordinances at the time of
approval of a final subdivision map, dedication of additional park
land, or in lieu thereof, the payment of fees shall be made to the
City.
23. The subdivider shall furnish the U. S. Post Office,
Carlsbad, California with a copy of the final subdivision map.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed
to place a copy of this resolution in the usual course of mail,
addressed to the subdivider at his address as shown on the tentative
map.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
2nd day of August, 1966, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Neiswender, Atkinson, Dunne and Jardine.
