RESOLUTION NO. 1694
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION REGARDING CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-A 10,000 TO P-C (PLANNED COMMUNITY) ZONE, AND ADOPTION OF A MASTER PLAN, ON PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN JEFFERSON STREET AND EL CAMINO REAL, AND PROPOSED MARRON ROAD AND THE PLANNED EXTENSION OF ELM AVENUE.
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of January, 1970, the Carlsbad City
Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 649, which is herewith
referred to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on February 17, 1970, a duly advertised public hearir
was held as prescribed by law to consider a Change of Zone from
R-A-10,000 to P-C (Planned Community) Zone, nd Adoption of a Mast(
Plan, to be developed in conformanc with all requirements of the
City of Carlsbad Planned Community Ordinance No. 9218 on real
property located between Jefferson Street and El Camino Real, and
proposed Marron Road and the planned extension of Elm Avenue, more
particularly described as follows:
That Portion of Lots 1 through 27 and Lots 33 through 39, of the Hosp Eucalyptus Forest Companies' Tract No. 1, and Portions of the West one-half of Section 32, Township 11 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Base Meridian, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California; more particularly described in application on file in the City Planning Office.
WHEREAS, the City Council received all recommendations and
heard all persons interested in or oppos to the proposed change
of zone classification:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that he findings of the Plann.

ings of the City Council of the City of Ca
BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classi-
fication is necessary to carry out the general purpose of Ordinancl
No. 9060 as amended.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Carlsbad does hereby
declare its intention to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the
proposed change of zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 3rd day of March, 1970, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilman Dunne, McComas, Neiswender, Jardine and Castro.
NOES : None.
ABSENT: None.
