WHEREAS, appellant Peter Aguilar and Texaco, Inc., appealed
to the City Council the action of the Planning Commission regarding
their herein mentioned application, and
WHEREAS, all steps required by law in connectio
application and appeal have been complied with:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES
HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Plann-
ing Commission contained in Resolution No. 661 constitute the
findings of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
appeal and application is denied.

City Coundil the following facts and reasons make the denial of
said application necessary to carry out the general purpose of
Ordinance No. 9060 as amended:
1. The existing sign meets the limitations of freeway oriented property;

Council of the City of Carlsbad, California held May 19, 1978,
