I 1 WHEREAS, on April 10, 1972 there was filed with the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad, a copy of a Notice of Intention to circulate a petition relating to annexation of certain territory to the City of Carlsbad, under the Annexa- tion Act of 1913, pertaining to territory designated as "East Carlsbad Annexation No. 2.12", accompanied by a written state- ment containing reasons for the petition, together with an Affi- davit of Publication of said notice in the Carlsbad Journal; and WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the legislative body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the notice and approving the circulation of the petition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad: 1.
