A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
INGS AND DECISION REGARDING CHANGE OF
(Planned Community) ZONE AND ADOPTION OF A SPECIFIC PLAN, ON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EASTERLY SIDE OF THE A.T. & S.F.
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, ANNOUNCING FIND-
ZONE FROM R-1-7,500 AND R-T TO P-C
RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY, WESTERLY OF INTER- STATE-5 AND SOUTHERLY OF CHINQUAPIN AVENUE. (Hunts Partnership)
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of May, 1972, the Carlsbad City Plannin

Commission adopted Resolution No. 786, which is herewith referred
to and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on June 7, 1972, a duly advertised Public Hearing was
held as prescribed by law to consider a Change of Zone from R-1-7,500
and R-T to P-C (Planned Community) Zone, and Adoption of a Specific
Plan on property described as:
All that portion of Tract 233 of Thum Lands, City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according to map thereof No. 1681, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, December 9, 1915; also known as San Diego County Assessor's Parcels 11, 12 and 13 of Book 206, Page 22; and more particularly described in application on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
t WHEREAS, the City Counci 1 received a1 1 recommendations and hear '1 all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed Change of Zone 21 I I I/ and Adoption of Specific Plan; 22
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES 23
24 HEREBY DECLARE FINDINGS AND RESOLVE that the findings of the Planning
I // Commission contained in Resolution 786 constitute the findings of the 25 I City Council of the City of Carlsbad.

BE IT FURTHER DECLARED AND RESOLVED that the City Council
certifies that the approval of the proposed change of zone classifica
tion and the adoption of the Specific Plan is necessary to carry out
the general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060, as amended.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad does hereby declare its intention to adopt an ordinance to
effectuate the proposed change of zone classification.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at an -adjourned regular.meetipg
of the City Council held on the 7th day of June, 1972 by the followin
vote, to wit:
AYES : Cmn. Dunne, McComas and Frazee.
NOES: Cmn. Lewis.
ABS.TAIN : Cmn. Chase.
