RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ESTABLISHING FOUR-WAY
STOP CONTROLLED INTERSECTIONS ON TAMARACK AVENUE AT ADAMS AND JEFFERSON

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has
citizens connected with St. Patrick's School requesting that Tamarack
received a petition containing in excess of 900 signatures from

Avenue traffic be stopped at Adams Street and Jefferson Street, and;
WHEREAS, the Council believes that traffic on Tamarack is
travelling at an unsafe speed, and;
WHEREAS, the Council believes that stop signs can be used
as effective traffic control devices;
THEREFORE, the Council does hereby resolve that the follow-
ing intersections are hereby designated as four-way stop intersections
and the City Traffic Engineer is directed to install appropriate

signing as authorized in the California Vehicle Code:
1) Tamarack Avenue and Adams Street
2) Tamarack Avenue and Jefferson Street
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
53 City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held December
1972 by the following vote, to-wit:
