RESOLUTION NO. 3099
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD TO OBTAIN FUPJDS FOR CRHE
CONTROL (SECOND YEAR FUNDING)
The City Council of the Cfty of Carlsbad does hereby resolve that:
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to undertake a "COMMUNITY SERVICE
OFFICER'^ Project No. 1208, to be funded fn part from funds made available
through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 administered
by the California Council on Criminal Justice,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is
authorized to submit the attached Applicateon for Grant for Law Enforcement
Purposes to the Californfa Council on Criminal Justice for its consideration,
and
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that en the event that the California Council on Crim-
inal Justice consents to fund the project, the Mayor is authorized to execute
on Gehalf of the City of Carlsbad the contract for the grant for law enforce-
ment purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide the required
matchlng funds to sard project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used
to supplant ongoing law enforcement expenditures.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, held Aprtl 3 , 1973, by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES : Cmn. McComas, Lewis, Chase and Frazee.
NOES : None.
ABSENT : Mayor Dunne.
