A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION ON A PREANNEXATION CHANGE OF ZONE
P-C (Planned Community), ON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD, SOUTH OF RANCHO CARRILLO, AND NORTH AND SOUTH OF LA COSTA. (La Costa Land Company)
FROM SAN DIEGO COUNTY A-1-8 TO CITY OF CARLSBAD
WHEREAS, on August 14, 1973, a duly advertised Public
learing was held before the Planning Commission in the manner
irescribed by law to consider a Preannexation Change of Zone
From County A-1-8 to City of Carlsbad P-C on approximately
71 7 acres of 1 and, more parti cul arly descri bed as:
Portions of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, the Northwest Quarter of
Section 29, and the Northeast Quarter
of Section 30, all in Township 12 South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Meridian.
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of said hearing, the Planning
:ommission of the City of Carlsbad, adopted Resolution No. 939
Oecommending said zone change which is herewith referred to
md made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on September 4, , 1973, the City
:ouncil held a public hearing on the matter, received all
recommendations and heard all persons interested in or opposed
to the proposed change of zone; and
WHEREAS, said application has complied with the require-
nents of the "City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection
3rdinance of 1972" and an Environmental Impact Report was
presented and discussed at a duly noticed public hearing
held by the Planning Commission and the City Council and
Mas approved as presented;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the findings of the Planning Commission
contained in the aforementioned Resolution No. 939 constitute
the findings of the Carlsbad City Council.
3. That the approval of the proposed preannexation
change of zone classification is necessary to carry out the
general purpose of Title 21 of the Municipal Code.
4. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
intends to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed
preannexation change of zone.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the City Council on the 4th day of August, 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dunne, McComas, Chase and Frazee
NOES: Councilman Lewis
ABSENT: None
